June 1 - Summer School
We still have some unused CW funds. I would like to offer to pay you all for a 1/2 day of collaboration time this summer. I have a feeling we will be pressed for time in the fall when we come back, so this would give you a little time to get some plans going for next year. My thoughts were to do something like the following:
5th math am - 4 teachers 8:00-11:00
6th math pm - 4 teachers 12:00-3:00
5th ELA am - 4 teachers 8:00-11:00
6th ELA pm - 4 teachers 12:00-3:00
5th Science am - 4 teachers 8:00-11:00
6th Science pm - 4 teachers 12:00-3:00
5th Social Studies am - 4 teachers 8:00-11:00
6th Social Studies pm - 4 teachers 12:00-3:00
This would give you all some time with your team and possibly a little time to meet vertically in the middle. The pay through the CW grant is $50 for a half day (3 hours). I don't have a preference on the day and I know summer schedules are crazy, so pick a day that works for most of you. The kicker is that everything needs to be wrapped up and turned in by June 15. Please let me know what day your groups have settled on so that I can get them on my calendar and work on getting a space to meet.
As the year comes to an end, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for making it a good one. I appreciate you.
