Sometimes we have people who need to get in the doors and a well intentioned student passing by will let them in. Please have a talk with your students about getting an adult to open doors if necessary. By now, most of you have the keys you need to get in the building, so tell your students not to let strangers in the building.

Christmas parties are coming up on December 16th. The morning of that day will be club day and Christmas parties will begin after lunches at 1:30. Christmas parties are run by the classroom teacher unless they have a parent volunteer they want to delegate that duty to. Parties can be run as the teacher chooses. You can play games, eat snacks, watch movies, etc. (just don't go crazy).

One of the procedures we do during a fire drill, is to hold up a red or green sign to indicate whether or not we have all of our students. Here is some clarification on which sign to hold up and when. If you have all of your students, hold up a green sign. If you have all of your students except for students who are assigned to another classroom (SPED, Read 180, etc) hold up a green sign. The teacher who has been assigned your student at that time should also be doing a sign as well. Some people want to hold up a red sign if they have anyone missing from their group, but everyone would have a red sign if we did that and that slows down the process of finding out if everyone is accounted for. Now, if you have all of your students except for someone you sent to the nurse or the library, hold up a red sign. Those students are not with an assigned person and need to be accounted for. I hope that makes sense.

I hope to see you all at our Christmas party on Thursday. I am working on my Dirty Santa / White Elephant gift for some special person:)
