We have made some changes to the end of year events. Stay tuned for changes as our whole calendar is in a state of flux right now.

This year, our building went 2:1 chromebook implementation. Many of you, like me, thought that the next logical step would be for us to go full 1:1 for next year. I have been given the official word that we will not be going 1:1, and that it wasn't actually in the plans for us to go 1:1. I apologize if I communicated incorrect information to you about this and got your hopes up. We have done well with our current situation and we will make the best of what we have.

At this time, there is not a plan for us to go 1:1. Much of this will depend on acquiring funding and having conversations with our central office administrators as well as the board. I know many of you regularly use chromebooks to augment your lessons, but if this is something we are interested in doing, we will need to show that we are using our chromebooks and that we are using them for more than just replacing worksheets. We need to prove that we are moving beyond the lower levels of the SAMR scale and that technology is being used to enhance critical thinking and student learning. So, as you wrap up this year and begin to plan the next, think about how you will implement your chromebooks in a way that most impacts students.

I just want to express how much I appreciate you all. We have endured a great deal this year and somehow we have managed to "survive and thrive". You have all been excellent to work with and I want to say, thank you for a great year under difficult circumstances.
