In 1567, the man said to have the longest beard in the world died after he tripped over his beard running away from a fire.
Casu marzu is a Sardinian cheese that contains live maggots. The maggots can jump up to five inches out of cheese while you're eating it, so it's a good idea to shield it with your hand to stop them jumping into your eyes.
The Romans used to clean and whiten their teeth with urine. Apparently it works. Please don't do it, though.

Be sure to check the Black Book for WINGS dates. We have made a couple of changes.
On August 28, we will be reviewing the processes for special education. Please plan to attend a meeting in the SPED office during your prep time. I realize it is hard to give up your prep time, so I will not require you to meet as a PLC team on that Wednesday. We will still do the special schedule switch.
Special classes will begin on Monday with Day 1. Several people have pointed out issues with the schedule, so check it out and make sure it matches what you have. Sometimes what looks good on paper isn't what looks good in real life.
On Wednesday, we will do our special schedule switch. Math will take the early slot and ELA will be in the second slot.
These two days have been incredibly smooth and trouble free. I appreciate all the work you have done to make it that way.
