We then moved on to visit with each individual team leader and to talk a little about CFA data, intervention, and assessment capable learners. Each grade level was well represented and articulated everything that was going on in your teams. Our central office friends listened and asked questions for about an hour. As they were leaving, all three at some point or another said that this was the best data meeting they had experienced from the middle school. So, first, I want to thank the Leadership Team. They stayed after and spoke to the group. Next, I want to thank you for all of the hard work and effort you have put into making this year a success. I appreciate you all.

#EdCampSEMO

Saturday was EdCampSEMO over in Cape. It is always a fun time, especially if you win a door prize (I did not).

Here is the final schedule of sessions with links to the notes. You should be able to click on a link and see the notes that were taken. Not every session had enough people, so some of the notes are blank.

I like the session notes from the session on Project Based Learning. It has a couple of good links for you to follow. One about providing good descriptive feedback and one from G Fletchy, a math guy.

I attended one on being positive. It was presented by a rock star principal, Leigh Ragsdale. There were lots of good ideas for culture building and community outreach.

I heard talk about Sketchnotes, podcasts, and Flipgrid.

Check it out.

On November 9, at 9:00 we will have our annual Veterans Day assembly. We are going to try seating a little differently this year. We will fill up the South side and the two ends leaving the North side for the stage and screen. We will seat you as you come in. Please remind your students to be on their best behavior.

We ask that you all dress professionally this day. Thursday can be our jeans day for the week.

Last Friday was our second PBS Day. We get a little better each time as we work out some of the kinks.

Shout out: Fourth grade is absolutely killing it when they come in from recess. They are quiet and single file going down the hall. They deserve a "grade level kick". Great job!

Here is some data regarding discipline:
Discipline referrals (including bus)
4th grade - 52
5th grade - 125
6th grade - 107

Number of students who did not get to attend a PBS Party room.
4th grade - 59
5th grade - 151
6th grade - 203

Some things to note - 4th grade has the least amount of students with 349, while 5th grade has 412, and 6th has 404.
