This Friday we will have a collaboration day. That morning, we will meet in the cafeteria for a quick faculty meeting (8:00). Then we will work in our teams until lunch (11:00). After lunch, we will come back to our teams until 1:30 at which time the 4th and 5th grade teams will meet in the library with the 3rd grade team. After a quick introduction and ice breaker activity, you will be released to go collaborate vertically. Here is the document that has the outline for those meetings (still a work in progress). I'm still working on rooms to hold those meetings, so that will be added later and discussed in the orientation time at 1:30.
It's time to select a teacher of the year to represent our building. Use this nomination form to recommend a colleague who exemplifies what teaching is all about. Forms will be collected until Friday February 15. Then, we will send out Google form for everyone to vote for the PBMS Teacher of the Year. Here are the specifics of what you need to do if selected.
Good video about different learning styles.
