FYI - Tomorrow will serve as our Friday and as such be a casual one. AKA - Wear jeans tomorrow!
Tomorrow, the construction crew will begin raising the walls for the new gym. This won't impact us too much, but we will need to stay out of our gym for the day.
Here is what this means:
When students come in from busses and drop off, they will need to go straight to the classroom and not to the gym. This means that duty people will need to be a little early and cover the hallways.
Coach Eubanks will come to your room to get your students. They will be going outside for a game of kickball. This means they need to know to dress warmly. Please remind them to dress for being outside in 35 degree weather.
At recess time, Coach Eubanks will have dibs on the big lot for kickball. He may let your students play with his classes if you ask nicely, but you will need to help supervise.
So, be sure your kids know where to go in the morning and that they need to wear a coat.
Wednesday's schedule will be 7:30-12:30 - Donuts will be provided (and coffee too). You can wear jeans that day as well. Check your google classroom for the agenda.
Next week they will be standing the walls for the band room. This means that 6A will need to be vacated for two days. During Wednesday's collaboration day, 6th grade will need to come up with ideas for how combine kids and still have school. Those days also include a workshop on SLO's, the MCTM workshop, the Beta Convention, and a workshop for SPED, so there will be several subs in the building. It's going to be a challenging week, but I am sure you all will be able to think of something engaging and educational to do.
I've heard that there has been a lot of talk about possible changes for next year in regards to staff. Some of you are excited and some of you are nervous (or even upset at who you may have to work with). For the record, there have been no concrete decisions regarding anyone's placement for next year. As placements are decided, I will let you know who they are and where they are going.
