Here is your end of the year checklist to start working on:

End of School Checklist

  1. Pack. Pack everything. Be sure to label your boxes with your name and the room number (the one I gave you, not the one on the room now).
  2. Back up all your data from your computer to your Google Drive.
  3. Write down user names and passwords and store in a safe place.

Last Day of School

  • Permanent Records:
  • Paste pictures inside cover
  • Paste semester grades (transcript label will be printed for you)
  • Record attendance in the grid on the perm folder
  • Include a copy of the report card (Do not make a copy from SIS. An official record of promotion or retention is required in each child’s cumulative file)
  • Make sure there is an orange flyer on the outside of all IEP students permanent records

Things to Turn in to the Office

  • Keys
  • Attendance record book (You MUST double check your attendance records to make sure they match SIS. This is important because all attendance records are audited in the summer. If there is a discrepancy between what you have and what is marked in SIS, please change your entry. SIS is the official record.)
  • Extra report cards or supplies left by students
  • Building handbook and emergency flipchart

Things to do in the Classroom

  • Pack. Write your name and room number on everything. (I can't say this enough)
  • Make sure that you have received all student textbooks
  • Have students clean tops/insides of desks
  • Take personal belongings home
