So far the classroom part of KidAccount has run pretty well. Here are some things that we have learned so far.

• You need to refresh your screen every 10 minutes. Sometimes we do have changes that come in right at 2:00 or after and if you have your screen open and our change doesn't get put in until 2:05, it won't show up without a refresh.
• Be sure to take note of changes and talk to the students about them. We had a student ride the bus when his mode of transportation had been changed even though the screen was up. These students show up in red. If you have a red student on your screen, be sure to talk to them about how they are getting home.
• Make sure to direct all parent communication about dismissal to the office.

The second phase of KidAccount will begin October 16. The KidAccount people are out at a trade show and can't make it next week, so dismissal will remain as is until the 16th. Look for letters to come out about the changes soon.
