Welcome Back!
I hope your break was restful and relaxing. Many of you will remember a while back that I sent out a survey about our school to get an idea of things I needed to work on. This only went out to those of you who had worked here before since the new people didn't really have a baseline for an opinion.

I would like for you to fill out that survey again to see if we have made improvements or if there are new areas that we need to work on. The survey can be found here. I know you have been surveyed to death recently, but please fill it out.

I have managed to watch all of this year's digital summit. Some videos were definitely better than others. I think Claudio Zavala was my favorite. I liked it because it was all about using video in the classroom and the different tools that are available. Of course, video is interesting to me, so I was excited to hear tips he had. I also liked Tony Vincent's talk. He had some useful information about using Google Drawing. I don't use this one much, but Tony had ideas that seemed very practical and useful in the classroom.

The Summit is closed now, but I did save all of the notes if anyone is interested in looking them over. They are in a folder located here.

I was able to go back and watch a couple of videos from previous Ditch Summits. One I watched was by Eric Curts. Eric is a tech guy for a consortium of schools in Ohio. He is a Google innovator and he will be presenting at the Ed Tech Academy this summer in Cape (along with Kasey Bell). I saw him speak at last year's ISTE convention.

He has a blog called Control Alt Achieve which has a ton of resources. I just read a post on Chrome Music Lab which is an awesome site for looking at music through a variety of tools. He has stuff on all things Google. He has newsletters. He has webinars. He has go it going on. Here are the notes from his talk on the Ditch Summit.

Interesting video I came across.
